Double Opt-In Confirmation Process

We use a double opt-in flow to verify consent, prevent unwanted subscriptions, and deliver the resources you requested with clarity and control.

At a glance

  • Business-verified contacts are used for outreach (Email/Telemarketing).
  • Consent is collected with required, non-pre-checked checkboxes.
  • A confirmation email verifies identity and intent.
  • Requested content is delivered only after confirmation.
  • Every email includes a clear Unsubscribe option.

How the Process Works

From validated records to content delivery, each stage ensures consent is voluntary, verified, and auditable.

Prospect Record Source & Verification

Prospect details originate from a pre-validated business contact database (e.g., name, company, role, business email, region) with an outreach method indicator (Email/Telemarketing) to ensure proper communication alignment.

Consent Capture via Landing Page Form

The prospect voluntarily submits their details and actively selects the required consent checkboxes (non-pre-checked):

  • Agrees to receive communication
  • Understands data use per the Privacy Policy
  • Provides explicit permission for follow-up

Confirmation Email Sent (Second Opt-In)

A confirmation email is sent to verify identity and intent. The prospect must click the confirmation link to activate the subscription (second opt-in).

Consent Logging & Status Update

On confirmation, the system records the timestamp and marks the record as Opt-In Verified, providing auditability and permission traceability.

Content / Resource Delivery

After verification, the requested content (e.g., whitepaper link, resource pack, event access) is delivered. The contact becomes eligible for related follow-up communication.

Unsubscribe Option (Opt-Out)

Every email includes a visible Unsubscribe link. When selected, the contact is removed from active marketing lists and updated to Do Not Contact in the CRM.

Data Handling & Compliance

We use the double opt-in process to prevent unwanted subscriptions

We record the consent event (timestamp, source page/UTM, IP, user agent) at the time you submit the form and again upon email confirmation. This creates an auditable trail demonstrating verifiable consent.

If you do not click the confirmation link, your subscription remains inactive. We periodically purge unconfirmed records after a reasonable retention window (e.g., 30–60 days) unless needed to prevent abuse or comply with legal obligations.

Unsubscribing immediately updates your marketing status in our database/CRM. Transactional emails (e.g., account or fulfillment messages) may still be sent if they are necessary to provide a requested service.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures including TLS in transit, role-based access, and periodic reviews. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Key Notes

  • Subscriptions are not activated until the email confirmation is completed.
  • Every marketing email includes an Unsubscribe link.
